There must be a degree of uncertainty and confusion since the closure of UM.

The overriding objective must be that people can access the information and support they need!

fv my advice take a break when you want to update those files i would be very grateful of you doing so as much i believe many out there would also be grateful

its been a shame that its come to this situation

it wouldnt have stopped me creating this site or any other and posting all the helpfull information as id already decided to do so id much rather prefer the important info available for everyone.

no forum can guarantee up to date information but we can provide the best information that we can do for everyone with a disclaimer added to there posts

I think a break is in order.  It has been a fractious 4 weeks and I have not been sleeping or feeling too good.

Whatever happens, I wish everyone reading this all the best.

I can only echo what Caker and Admin have said. You've been one of the most important and valued members of UM (and hopefully will continue to be so here), but personal well-being comes first. I, and many others, cannot thank you enough for all the hard work and help you've provided battling the monstrosity which is the DWP these days. I know that my case has probably been one of the most exhausting/frustrating ones you've had to deal with and I did worry at times it was taking its toll on you. So yes enjoy a well deserved break and hope to see you back here soon.

We certainly had an interesting time dealing with a particular Jobcentre; but despite the difficulties and frustrations I think we both learned a great deal together.  I have no regrets!

I think of you and all the people I have helped here and elsewhere as my friends. You are all extraordinary people having to deal with an unbelievably harsh and often disrespectful benefit regime.  Challenging the system can be incredibly difficult and more so for vulnerable people without the necessary help and support.

I hope people find the support they need here or elsewhere.

Your contribution has been immense and has helped very many people.I hope you get the rest you deserve and come back feeling refreshed.

Just a brief visit to say thank you for the kind sentiments and in particular for the support and kindness received from dear friends off-line (you know who you are).

I’m aware I have behaved uncharacteristically of late, my apologies for that.  In the circumstances, my hubby is keen for an extended vacation and I have agreed.
