new health and disability benefit assessment contracts – the ‘Functional Assessment Services’ contracts – for the period 2024 to 2029. These important new contracts have been subject to a rigorous and competitive process in line with public contract regulations.

The Health Transformation Programme is developing a new Health Assessment Service and transforming the entire Personal Independence Payment (PIP) service, we and our assessment providers use to undertake health assessments across all benefits.

the new Health Assessment Service ..... we roll it out nationally from 2029.

Procurement activity in Lot 3 (South West England) is continuing and we will announce the outcome in due course.

Well spotted, Pintel. Call me cynical but I fail to see how these "new" health assessments will be better for the claimant.

I have no idea why Ingeus boss London but does anyone know what crime was committed against the English language to come up with the name ingeus? Is it a misspelling of ingenius or something??

Yes it's the combination of "ingenious" and "us."

When I first read the name 'Health Transition Program' was about Gender Re-alinement????

'Project Cosmic'

If Project Cosmic involves blasting jobless losers into orbit then maybe not a bad name. I've never had dealings with Maximus but the name conjures up all sorts of images of advisors in gladiator gear. Or is it some play on maximising something?
I got Reed rhymes with greed for my short lived Restart experience. My Work Programme was delivered by Inspire to Independence. They failed to inspire me to anything.

They're not even trying to hide it anymore. The 'transformation' is when they ruin your mental health.

Maximus are the same people who provided the WCA and PIP. So don't expect any huge changes.

You have to wonder if there a 'monopoly' regulations, to how many scheme's/programs these companies can administer?.

Especially, as the 'Retread' scheme is only running until 2025? So you could have these companies running the HT program & the new Retread scheme? Or would they just create a front/ company, to cover their tracks. Money well spent ...

I've always wanted to see the sales pitch/ documentation these companies give to the DWP ? And compare it to what is actually delivered by these companies.

The JCP spend all of this time/money investigating individual 'benefit cheats'. Yet ignore the in the room. Of these companies taking them for a ride? And yet the caravan carries on
