Maybe this might lead a new thread, upon the JCP'sstaff attrire. Not so long ago, the JCP staff, wore office attrire with name Badges clearly displayed. Setting a good example to use claimant's. Now some of these JCP staff look like the have just got back from a night out. As #tom-tiny mentioned, the double standards here, how do I know that the person behind the desk isn't an Alien imposter. Should I ask them 3x security question!

Also what if you get the security questions wrong . Would you be escorted to a special room for further intergation...

What would happen if you answered a question wrong? Waterboarding?? Strip searches?? Hopefully they'll be content with just closing a claim.

Better just come in sign on days at your local job centre dressed in a prison outfit or a orange jump suit get one from ebay or get a printed t shirt saying fuck your ID bullshit.

When I signed on recently, I wasn't asked for any documentation or security questions.

Tell them where is the manager they have broken the rules every client they should be asking for 3 forms of ID. Tell them I would like to file a compaint about the work roach. Imagine the outburst next time you sign on the roach wouldn't serve you happened to me once roach wanted to stop my JSA 3 times *4 months*without putting forward my claim called in and filed a complaint on DWP hotline everytime I get a face to face appointment with this roach that tried to stop my claim she always hand over my sign on card to another work coach they will remember you and hold this against you.

Sometimes I really miss the old person of me quiet, silent and shy now I'm pissing off far too many people the restart programme probably have picture of me on the fridge punching it everytime they walk past it.

You are making me wistful for the time I sacked my WC. She was spectacularly usless rather than malicious so I told her I wanted a different WC. To my surprise, I got another WC who was far more competent and useful. Them were the days.

Been thinking . What if you're a claimant that doesn't have 3x piece's of ID? And you need a translator, as English is your second language. Can you ' phone a friend' to explain/ understand the security questions . Rather defeats the purpose of security checks??? (In case the person on the chair is an impostor 🤬)

I once asked the Roach' if I could have a translator? I was told that I couldn't as 'Klingon' isn't recognised by the DWP ...  I'm being oppressed.......

Pintel, my WC did express concern about how difficult it will be for people who lack a passport and driving licence to produce 3 pieces of ID in an online world.

If claimants do their homework and revise thoroughly for each appointment there is no need to worry about answering questions incorrectly. I await Daily Mail stories about claimants too workshy and unskilled to even know their phone number.

Also if a claimant is required to present ID/security checks. Does this mean the 'Annual Verification' check isn't required any further? As you have demonstrated who you are, and no change in circumstances.... Or is it just more Red tape from the DWP

Pintel, not a typo. The WC in question is one of the better of the species - been there for ever and clearly hanging on to max out their pension. They also pointed out how it makes their job more difficult because they have been given no extra appointment time to carry out these checks.

Of course the Annual Verification nonsense will continue as an essential part of The Great JCP Obstacle Course. No way will they get rid of the terror that a DWP Envelope of Doom engenders when it pops through the letterbox.

I received my P60 today, detailing how much the hard working taxpayer has funded my lifestyle over the past year. Alas, it will not be acceptable as ID to JCP .

My passport and driving licence are both over 3 months old so they can't be used. I also no longer have a phone. They are welcome to contact me through my journal that has its own security to log in. No need for a trip to the job Centre then.

A couple of points here, tip of the to the , shame there a dieing breed.

Secondly, will the DWP , be providing their employees with extra 'training' to know its not a fake ID or not .

And lastly is there a list of 'acceptable' forms of ID. Just I had one Roach' not believe a letter from the Hospital, on there stationery etc. Just saying if a document (P60) create by them or related department isn't acceptable, what is a note from my mum!

Or is this the ploy, no claimant can ever produce. the correct ID. So they are thrown to the lions...

Here's an Idea ...
Instead of mindlessly answering some 'security' questions. Why not try to raise the claimant's intelligence . Be asking some general knowledge questions?

According to the WC they had not been given a list of acceptable ID, beyond DWP letters are not allowed and correspondence had to be dated within 3 months. Maybe I'm going soft but I did feel for the staff. Explaining these pointless ID checks and asking security questions was making all the signing appointments run late, I thought I'd be stuck in there forever.

How long till they microchip everyone like a cat or start scanning your eyeballs as in minority report.

I suppose that wouldn't give them some bullshit reason to deny you.

P60 is accepted as ID by government gateway btw which you can use when making your claim. Them refusing that is bs.

I have been busy turning Chez Ignatius upside down in search of every document with my name and address on it. I intend taking my folder of Proof of Me paperwork to my next signing appointment and the WC can bloody well decide what is ok.

Well I am glad to hear that the DWP is fully in control of what is acceptable, before introducing this program. As #Oneman suggested my passport is over 3xyears old. Yet I believe is acceptable???? And a letter from there own organisation (DWP ) isn't 🤪

I wonder would a 'photocopy' or printed screen-shot of online billing, be accepted . As the utility companies want this old Pirate to go paperless. Seems like the JCP and these companies are not on the same page, so to speak? Seems like yet another own goal for the DWP ....

I would say 'Answers on a postcard' but Id just be showing my ignorance....
