Questions about New Enterprise Allowance (NEA)

Hey everyone!

If my upcoming job doesn't pan out I might try to become self-employed - and also to get on NEA.. but I don't know much about NEA.

1. Is there any difference (regarding NEA) for people on JSA, UC or any other benefits?

2. If someone already had been on the NEA scheme a few years ago, can they get on it again?

3. Is someone who quits their job, starts claiming JSA (or UC) and then gets a 13 week sanction (because they left employment) still eligble for NEA?

4. Does any other sanction prevent someone from getting NEA?

be aware if going self employed it comes with sanctions if it dosnt pan out or you dont prove that your viable to be self employed

it also can mean that you have to pay everything back again
