Unofficial FB Fan Page

The Unofficial Twitter fan page has been in operation for over one month.

I cannot, at this time identify a benefit to the RB site.  There is very little engagement at this time and many posts are replicated here: https://twitter.com/benefitforums.  

I would prefer that we continue with the https://twitter.com/benefitforums for the time being.

Thoughts?

I can see the benefit of Twitter since it is a free a/c.

Personally, I find Twitter very confusing to use (have tried and given up).

My concern is that Twitter is public and not a member only site such as RB. As such, anyone can see posts. I would be very nervous about sharing personal queries on Twitter and I find this site the only place I can come to for reliable advice on the topics we discuss. I would be a bit lost without it actually

If the Twitter a/c operated as a 'closed' forum where private messages were possible (when necessary) then I would have no objection to using that space instead of forumotion. I would just need to have a better understanding of how Twitter operates and I am very willing to learn if everyone thinks we should move there instead.

Odd thing just happened. No sooner did I create a Twitter a/c, it just got locked because it violated some rule.

No idea what just happened. I could not find my a/c when I attempted to log back in.

Twitter is about sharing news and views, but there is limited space. Many people use Twitter and Facebook to optimize their website(s) as well as a method of promoting their website/blog.

With so many followers on Twitter, I wonder if we should be encouraging traffic to this site. It is nicer here than Twitter. It could be more lively with more people. Just a thought.
