A while back now I was given a letter to attend a GIS and I turned up, confirmed that it was a GIS and promptly left as I have problems in group situations. On my next meeting with my work coach he was about to issue a JSD until I let him know I would not attend due to having problems in group situations, which he knew anyway , but he then relented and I haven't been sent on any since.

ND on similar note I asked this on another post but do you know whether taking any or all of the 14 day JSA sick allowance counts as a change of circumstances which would automatically lead to being migrated to UC in a full service area?

Hi ABC. I found this but it is under the title.
Starting or stopping a claim based on disability
A change in employment status
Change in circumstances
On Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance and become sick =Claim Universal Credit.

Re: JSA Sanction information.
I used 2 JSA28s for full 14 on each around June time in a full UC service area and it did not trigger a migration

I'm not sure it does. You know how useless the majority of Jobcentre staff are and it may just be something that slipped through the net. I have a feeling it will normally trigger a move to UC but there's nothing out there to confirm that for certain yet and I'm not going to risk using a JSA28 until I'm sure. It could be another two years before I'm migrated and I don't intend to help them along in any way.

That seems to be linked to a change while being employed and also on JSA ... is that even possible?

Hey Hey Hey! ABC.
Why not ask your JCP manager to answer the question?
We would all love to know what is going on.
Dare you ask?
Regards.

I could not find any reference to a disallowance triggering a change of circumstances and subsequent natural migration to UC.
My focus at present is helping to resolve the pressing matter in hand.
Further investigation is required regarding the finer details of 'natural migration' to UCFS.
Members and interested guests may be pleased to know Oneman won his/her case without the need to proceed to Tribunal. Fortunately, the Appeals Officer reached a more favourable decision.
There are still other matters to sort out. Hopefully more good news soon!

Re: JSA Sanction information.
That's good news!
I suppose the bigger question is whether the forced migration to UC still stands or not?

Hear,hear,
Great news oneman glad to hear you have had a positive result, considering the dog eat dog and hostile climate we all seem to be living under it is a rare and precious commodity indeed to find others that have the knowledge, the professionalism and dogged determination to go above and beyond at personal cost into helping others not for recognition or personal reward but because it is the right thing to do.
But enough about me,
There is no “I “ in Team Benefits.

The indirect compliment is appreciated!
Welfare advice can be very underated.
My unpaid service has always been rewarding as well as depressing at times.
Remarkably, most people were/are very stoical as well as resilient when faced with adversity.
I alway feel humble as well as happy when people acheive the outcome they hoped for.

All I can say in my defence is that if I can put a smile on someone’s face, even for a moment then I feel I am at least giving something back although my humour can be described as Marmite so mileage varies.

Re: JSA Sanction information.
A brief update!
We have decided to go down the County Court route rather than the very long winded DWP complaints protocol.
It is a first for both of us, so it's very much virgin territory.
Please wish us well!

Re: JSA Sanction information.
Thanks for update,
Absolutely good luck to both of you hopefully it wont go to court and they act on your Letter before claim be interesting to see if they do challenge in court.
Be a fantastic win if they did challenge and lost, it be the start of a trickle or even flood.
You know this whole case throws up many interesting and important points I would like to see the whole process documented from the beginning to end with as much detail as possible obviously respecting users privacy as it encompasses so many areas for a legacy claimant and would be a great roadmap to follow for those who might be faced with the same issues.
I think as the numbers of JSA claimants declines there will be a point in time when there will be small hardcore group of long term unemployed determined to cling onto JSA for as long as possible.
Resistance is never futile, it's just a pain in the butt.
Just hoping I am not conscripted to the next phase of the cull.
Into the valley of death rode the 10,000

Please note we did go down the very long winded DWP complaints protocol and found that they all stick together and don't care, while passing the buck to higher complaints departments thinking they can wash their hands of everything.
They all lie when it comes to backing each other up, Until it comes to providing evidence in court. Then they just delay, providing you with any evidence, because they can.
I'm marked down on the LMS as Disruptive for asking for my lawful rights to be considered. (electronic signing is voluntary) I'm marked as disruptive. Not wanting GIS every two weeks. (this is voluntary) I'm marked as disruptive. Asking management for my old regular Work Roach back, lasted 1 week then it was back to GIS!!! I see her in aldi shopping more than I do at the JCP, But I'm still marked as Disruptive!!
Asking a manager/work coach to supply me with possible job. NO not possible!! but we will use the 130 available jobs you did not apply for as evidence to apply a sanction because we are better than you and you will conform to our will!!!
I actually thought we had got to the top (Director General
susan.park@dwp.gsi.gov.uk ) but it was snatched away from me by her Correspondence Manager (Secretary!!!!) Kept on ignoring every question we asked.
Her arse did start to twitch a bit when we said fu*k this process and delay. IDS took 5 Years last time and lost. We will Take you straight to court and cut the bull shit.
It's time for change!
Just when I was getting to like Amber rudd for delaying UC. Whatever next Prime Minister!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: JSA Sanction information.
The appeal process was unecessarily protracted!
I was referring to the 2-4 year process of escalating a complaint to ICE/the Ombusdman.
I have an outstanding case that has been with ICE for more than 2 years! I get letters periodically advising "we are still looking at the case, but we cannot say when you might receive a response."

El debate no debería prolongarse inútilmente.
ICE/the Ombusdman. Just shows up as a very strong Norse God.
I would like to leave it this way at the moment.
Thanks Mate.
Kind regards.
