ESA and Covid Empty ESA and Covid

Post by Pintel Tue Jan 12, 2021 12:48 pm

I have received a letter from the Department of Health and Social care: ⛑

"The formal shielding letter you receive will act as evidence for your employer and the DWP that you are advised to shield and may be eligible for SSP or ESA".

So to my point, has anyone to whom has been diagnosed with Covid, been transferred to the ESA or PIP. As the long term effects of the virus, are still developing?🧟

I cannot at this time find figures to answer you question.

ESA: Do you think you are unfit for work?

PIP: Do you think you need assistance/adaptations with day to day activities due to your disabilities?

Sorry for the late reply. Slow internet. :-(

Sorry to read about your Long Covid.

This may be helpful:

If you are thinking about claiming PIP, DLA or AA
You can still make a new claim. You should do so as soon as possible, because claims cannot be backdated.
Who can claim
DLA, AA and PIP are either for people who have a long-term condition or disability, or who are terminally ill. It is unlikely that anyone will qualify due to having COVID-19, unless you are severely affected by 'long COVID'. Get advice if you are unsure whether you are entitled to a benefit or not.
For basic information about whether you might get a benefit, use the links below. If you are unsure and you do not already get one of these benefits, you can make a claim anyway. Get specialist immigration advice before claiming if you are or might be ‘subject to immigration control’ or may not be allowed to claim ‘public funds’.
•Read about who can get PIP on gov.uk
•Read about who can get DLA on gov.uk
•Read about who can get AA on gov.uk

ESA/Universal Credit payments

Can you tell us if you are claiming a legacy benefit or Universal credit?
