ONS data on Covid only deaths Empty ONS data on Covid only deaths

ONS data is attached below.

“There were a total of 9400 deaths in 2020 that were due solely to COVID-19 and were recorded without any pre-existing conditions.”

9,400 (deaths from Covid only) / 128,000 (deaths with Covid)= 7.3%

Therefore 92.7% of deaths recorded as Covid have not in fact been solely caused by this disease.

It's fairly known and accepted that you are very unlikely to die from covid-19 if you are fully healthy. However there are exceptions and I wouldn't be surprised if most of 9400 people also had some (not known at time) pre-existing condition. Most covid-19 deaths are indeed in groups with existing conditions or old age.

It's been very unfortunate that so many of our vulnerable or old people have lost their lives. So many of these lives could have been prevented by proper and early action from the government. Many people, including the Chinese Communist Party, should be held accountable for all these deaths. Just a shame very few actually will be punished.

More on this:

How Many Covid Deaths Are Really Due to COVID-19?
By Will Jones, 15 April, 2021

The Telegraph‘s front page led today with the story that nearly a quarter of deaths (23%) registered “with Covid” in the latest official data for England and Wales were not “due to Covid” but were due to another underlying cause, according to the information entered on the death certificate. This percentage is up on earlier figures. The same figure for the original wave up to August 31st in England and Wales was just 8% (4,159 out of 52,327).

However, there is good reason to think both figures are too low. A Freedom of Information enquiry (pictured below) found that for Northern Ireland, the proportion of deaths that mentioned Covid but identified an antecedent condition (or conditions) as the cause of death for the period March 1st to November 20th was 38% (494 out of 1,301).

Excess rates of death are not explainable without COVID-19. They mimic the infection rate and the hospital admission.
Individual cases are never certain but statistics do not lie.
