Sunak and Johnson agree to extend universal credit boost ?
Rishi Sunak is expected to bow to pressure to extend a £20-a-week increase in universal credit for six million people amid mounting tensions between No 10 and No 11.
The Times has been told that the chancellor and the prime minister have agreed in principle to extend the additional payments at a cost of £6 billion.
The move, likely to be announced in the budget next year, comes after Mr Sunak pledged more than £30 billion this week in support for workers.

Will be so good for many Welfare Champ and will give many a chance to look for some half decent paid job rather than, forced into mini wage etc of which will make no financial sense. If you've got the usual cost of living expenses to meet.
If they actually go through with making the additional £20 a week permanent it will close the gap and destroy the delusional mentality of people having to work for next to nothing. It will close the gap between low wages and remaining on UC etc. They've had millions, trapped working for zero.Having a pathetic standard of living and yet, appeasing them with ''its all OK, claim UC as a top up to your ''wages.''
