Life of a Universal Credit Sufferer Empty Life of a Universal Credit Sufferer

Post by Non Deficere Tue Oct 16, 2018 9:48 pm

My name is Alex Tiffin, I’m 30 years old and I live in a Culbokie in the Scottish Highlands.

I write about politics and social issues facing people in the UK. Occasionally I’ll do something entirely random but equally as interesting. (I hope)

I am currently on the UK government’s “flagship” welfare reform benefit; Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payment as I have several complex health conditions.

I started documenting my experience after I posted a tweet outlining the harsh reality of life on benefits

Alex Tiffin has turned his hand to film-making. And his first piece, 2010 – Death of the Welfare State, is a damning look at the DWP.
