Re: Do I Need Photo ID?
hello and welcome to the forum lucy
there is no form of photo id needed or required or has to be given or shown to the adviser at the jcp office
from that comment alone i suspect they are trying to take a photo copy of your license or passport
there is no requirement that they need to take these as evidence
not even with your first registration for jsa or jsa cc
I myself provided that info but refused to allow jcp adviser or the Secretary to take a photo copy of it
enough for me to make it very clear i dont consent for them to take a photocopy of my d license at the jcp they did try to walk off and take a copy but i made it very clear i dont consent to it being taken and if they continue to walk away i would come round the back of the desks to get it from them
this didnt go down well and security was called in end they did not take a copy of my d license at the time

Re: Do I Need Photo ID?
you can provide other alternatives so provide those instead to jcp
bills
nat insurance details
most people dont have other info so all you can do is either state you dont have it or only provide what you have as evidence to say who you are

Re: Do I Need Photo ID?
lucy you have no other id that can be provide d license even run out of date nowadays so if passport has run out and you have no money
then ask the jcp roach if they can provide the funds for a renew of your passport
but best to say that you dont have one
unless you come from outside of uk then that would be the requirement to provide those details and that your a resident here
for those being a resident its provide what you can do from the list below if you dont have it then theres nothing you can do
these 2 are not mandatory current passport, driving licence jcp try to copy them but if you havent got them you cant provide them or you can refuse to provide them to jcp if you live in the uk
Your JSA interview
Jobcentre Plus will contact you to arrange your interview after you’ve applied.
You’ll need to bring all of the following:
your P45 (if you have one)
one ‘primary’ identity document
2 ‘secondary’ identity documents - one to prove your address and the other to prove your date of birth
Primary identity documents
Examples include your:
current passport
driving licence
biometric residence permit
certificate of naturalisation as a British citizen
permanent residence card
Secondary identity documents
Examples of proof of your date of birth include your:
birth certificate
marriage certificate
NHS medical card
Examples of proof of your address include a recent:
utility bill
bank statement
Council Tax bill
You may need to bring in other documents based on the information you provide so that Jobcentre Plus can make a decision on your claim.

Re: Do I Need Photo ID?
I would just add that if this is in regard to an existing claim and you do not have or forget your ID when signing on you can ask for security questions to prove you who you say you are much the same as you would if you ring up.
