Is there an age limit for UC? A 62-year-old applied for UC online but during the process the site's automated responses prevented him from continuing and instead pointed him to the online JSA application site.

that would be because its not a uc area as some areas dont have uc in them so have to apply only for jsa therefore also not bound by uc regs
there is a difference between jsa uc and the old jsa regs

Unfortunately in fully UC areas, there is no time limit. The "gateways conditions" have been completely scrapped.
An acquaintance that was about to retire in a few months was obliged to enroll and had to wait two month before seeing any money.
Thoroughly disgusting.
