Still of all the features from the old forum the one more often I miss is the "thank button".
It showed agreement and solidarity and a good indicator of the mood of the readers.

Thanks Non-Def  Other helpful & accessible welfare benefit forums 2035158131  ,

I find with the amount of information of the web confusing. Of to who's advice to take, as there are so much choice out there? Another reason why I miss the old UEM forum, it was like a tried and tested brand.

the like button has now been changed to a thanks button

what happens when you click it the poster of the post gets a reputation upgrade

3 points for posting the info whilst a thanks gives the poster 1 point per person clicking the thanks button

i detest a star system that says im the highest poster hence the reason i gave everyone this the reputation is the thankyou's

So Admin what does the "Reputation" score represent then. As you already get points for posting etc? albino

I can see the usefulness of the "reputation point" system, however what I miss is the ability to see on single posts, how appreciated or welcome is what posted.

In addition few "hearts" or "likes" encourage (or indirectly criticise) posters in an interactive fashion. I think they were a more "humane" way to show appreciation, solidarity or partisanship; all together quite stimulating debate.

I want to say this is not in any way a complaint, Admin is doing a sterling job and I am in awe of the effort made to keep the best of the UM forum alive.

I have noticed that there are at least 4 welfare advisers posting there regularly.

Please remove this from the list. It's shite. The advice given, when given at all, is rubbish and there are a lot of judgmental pricks preying on the unemployed.

Once I created a subreddit in case this forum were to be taken down (you never know). Due to inactivity, I then made it private. If anybody from the admins of this forum is interested, please let me know and I'll hand over the sub to them.
