The future Fit Note ?

Apparently one of the madcap ideas being considered for future fit notes is referring people who could work to a Life Coach. I cynically presume a Life Coach is the evil twin of a Work Coach. This new idea is in addition to the already mooted batshit idea of having WC in doctors surgeries.

Also, a consultation on whether more professionals should be allowed to sign Fit Notes. Thankfully WC are not mentioned - for now!

Maybe it will end up where you can generate your own Sick Notes ( still think the term 'fit note' is ). A self assessment note, so even cuts out the necessity for a 'life coach'....

While I think about it, it would be nice to see what qualifications/training these. 'Life Coaches' will have? What could go wrong 🤪

I am the only one that feels when a person has the title of "Coach" in there job title. It is the verbal equivalent, of the 'Yellow Hi Viz Vest' . That just by donning this type of garment, some how 'empowers' them, like a field- marshals baton...🤨

Coaching is the thing for these times. Suggests the problems are only with the person, not the society they inhabit.

Talking of sports,games and the workplace, with regards to phrasing. As you mentioned about 'coaching' being a parlance of our times? I feel the term with regards to employees: 'Team Member/Associate" gets (excuse the pun) thrown around alot today?. You can understand why some people see the workplace as a game?

Don't sell yourself short, Pintel. Team Member, Colleague? Pah. Brand yourself as Talent. If that's how the billionaires at the top think of themselves, plenty good enough for you.
