DWP Universal Credit crackdown and how it will work:

"The new rules mean that sanctions could begin four weeks after their initial UC claim, if an individual is not making reasonable efforts to find and secure a job in any sector or if they turn down a job offer. The aim is to get 500,000 benefit claimants into jobs by the end of June."
