I’m working at the moment with a man whose Disability Living Allowance was stopped in April this year. He applied for Personal Independence Payment, but says he never received a letter or a text to tell him when his face-to-face assessment for PIP would be.
What he did receive a couple of months later was a letter to tell him that he wouldn’t get PIP because he didn’t attend the face-to-face meeting. As he says – he didn’t attend the face-to-face assessment because he didn’t realise that it was on. He didn’t get a letter or a text telling him where and when it would be. wrote:
