Can anyone tell me what to expect when I go on the Work and Health programme?
In a few months I will have been on JSA for two years, at which point I will be mandated to go on the Work and Health programme.
So far, I’ve not been able to find any specific accounts of what exactly being on it entails. Do you go to a special building and sit at a PC all day applying for jobs? Do you have to work for free in charity shops everyday? What exactly do you do on it?
Any specific and detailed information form people who are on it—or been on it—will be appreciated.

The following 2 threads are currently active on the subject of the WHP:
https://respectfulbenefits.forumotion.com/t4213-has-anybody-been-on-the-work-and-health-programme
https://respectfulbenefits.forumotion.com/t4243-work-and-health-program
If you browse through the “Programmes, Schemes and Courses” section of the Forum you will find dozens more threads on the subject.
You will probably find if you start studying those now you will still not have covered it all in a few months time.
Not so sure about going to a special building when you get referred but you will definitely qualify for a place in a special building by the time you finish.

You aren’t guaranteed to be selected via the W&HP Random Selection tool when you reach 24 months unemployed.
Not much information about actual experiences on the net:

Re: Can anyone tell me what to expect when I go on the Work and Health programme?
Thanks both for your responses.
It's odd that there is very little information or accounts of day to day experiences of people on WHP.
There is certainly a lot of information on how to try to avoid being mandated. Most of that though seems like a pain in the bum to actually follow in real life.
That's why I want to know what WHP is like to be on, so that I can work out ways to lesson its impact on my daily freedom.
