Your work email signature block can be used to form a binding and legal contract, the Manchester County Court has ruled – costing an unfortunate land seller £25,000 from her hoped-for sale price.

I think that solicitor should make up the difference from his own purse, for making such a stupid error.

It is a worrying time, for people getting caught out e-signatures, without a persons consent. As you could see this opening a new platform for scammers?  No

i can see it opening up a right can of worms for jobseekers

just a reply back of an email with a name address on it could mean they have signed it without anyones knowing any difference

they could be consenting to whole load of kettle of fish unbeknown to them

to my older age anything in documentation should be signed for by a pen scanned and sent back

not a rely form with name and address typed out on it

could see dwp doing loads of fraudylant affairs with this scope of action

I think this needs judicial review.

One a side point a lot of online application's I fill in, there is usually a 'tick box' to agree to the declaration, before sending off the application. I feel a similar box to click is needed here? scratch
