Just a quick query re: WCA appointments
Does anyone know if there is a minimum period of notice for a WCA appointment please?
What I mean by this is; does there have to be a clear months (or any other length of time) notice between the date the letter is typed / generated by CHDAUK and the date of the appointment?
For example, a letter informing of an appointment to take place on 14th March when the letter itself is dated 17th February, so the claimant has not been given a clear month's notice of the actual appointment in such a case.
If the letter did not give sufficient notice then the person may not have sufficient time to make travel arrangements, liaise with his/her chaperone etc.
Perhaps I have got muddled up.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Just a quick query re: WCA appointments
i thought it could be done within 1 week or less for any appointment to be made caker
however on that quote many of us was a victim of providers not giving the correct dates or even trying to back date there appointments to prove they failed to have the meeting
not forgetting postal times as well not all post arrives in a morning can arrive late afternoon

Sorry for the late response Caker.
You must be given at least seven days’ notice of the time and place for the
assessment, unless you’ve agreed to accept a shorter notice period. This may be
arranged over the phone.
