Mental health patients could get job coach visits

The UK government is planning to employ job coaches in mental health wards to assist seriously ill patients in returning to work, with the aim of reducing disability benefit expenses.

Is this what this country has come to? Do we no longer have empathy? We're targeting the'seriously ill' to save money.

They could go after the tax avoiding multi national companies like Amazon,  Vodaphone, Starbuks and Google, but no it is easier to put pressure on the vunerable people who are already struggling. If they intend going after the mentally ill, how long until they go after disabled people again, they don't give an f how disabled you are, we don't give a f that you are paralysed from the neck down, some farms will be needing scarecrows. Might be an extreme example there, but that's their ideal world cutting the disability benefits bill.

Not if you have long covid and are mad. smh

The way this government is treating everybody, not just the unemployed, we will end up in mental health hospital. I hope they've got plenty of nurses.
