Universal Support
Universal Support had a mention in the news articles about the imminent axing of the Work & Health Programme so I did some digging to see what this scheme involves.
It is the brainchild of Mr Duncan - Smith's Centre for Social Justice and they view it as the "sister" of Universal Credit. That probably says it all really. I should generously note that they think Universal Support should replace Restart. Make of that what you will.
Universal Support has been on the go since last year and is due to be expanded from 2025, although it only expects to "help" 50,000 people. It appears to consist of yet more tailored, personalised support to help people out of work due to health conditions overcome their so-called barriers.

With all of this Savile 🪡Row, of surgical support..... Why does this 'Help', fit like a Cheap Suit ...
And unless its some 'space age' material that shape's to the individual. How come this help always applied in a Cookie cutter style/design..

Going to be so much better under Labour...not!
Life on benefits will not be an option under Labour, says Liz Kendall
:“But there are questions as to how this differs from programmes going back to the 1980s and which the evidence shows have marginal impact at best,” he said. “Some critical issues weren’t mentioned including fluctuating health conditions, which standard jobs can’t accommodate, and the need to update our social security system to meet new challenges not repeat punitive approaches which do more harm than good.”

One circus leaves and another begins. Seen 4.5 decades of this garbage. The above is clear confirmation of the rinse and repeat of Blue then Red never works. Love them to come knock on my door for a chat. But, they won't.
