Re: Economically Inactive
I will say this again just in case someone out there may have missed my other 100 moans but box packing, shelf stacking, serving in coffee bars isn't a wonderful economy. And here we all are In curtain twitching city
Only a total moron would believe people are happy to be living on rice grain JSA for pay. Particularly so for others who once earnt a good living. The kind where they once worked and could afford decent clothes, run a car, saved some cash, paid into a pension fund ad took 1 holiday a year. Also had some kind of social life. Not the internet kind .
Of course, the above can still be done, as long as people are capable or want to work in warehouse city for 100 hours a week to get the same wages that took 38 hours to achieve few years back. Or stay living at home with mum and dad and all will be well. Just don't leave home.
There are many others out there who are economically inactive and getting handsomely paid, can anyone guess who ?

Re: Economically Inactive
Definition: Economic inactivity means that people (aged 16-64) are not involved in the labour market – they are neither working nor actively seeking employment. Economic inactivity includes students, early retirees, and the long-term sick. There are 8.5 million counted as economically inactive in the UK."

I wonder if the 'career criminals' would be added 'Economic inactivity' classification. As it seems to cover most other people? 🤬
On the link, it does have a category of 'Other':
"Other. This could include people who choose alternative lifestyles, for example being self-sufficient and growing your own food. As there is no official job, it would count as economically inactive.

Did you get to read the conclusion at the end Pintel?
You have to laugh at this made up bull shit.
"Conclusion
However, ‘economically inactive’ is a rather misleading term.
Students are increasing long-term labour productivity.
Care-givers are offering a vital public service – which would have a very high cost should the government pay directly.
Parents and people who look after family also provide a hidden economic service.
Early retirement is chosen by many who want to prioritise leisure over monetary gain.
The long-term sickness of 2 million suggests we should endeavour to try and improve the health of the population – through better preventative policies for issues like diabetes and heart disease.
No fucking mention of the disabled or over 50's here

Sadly Pintel I for see them using some of their 'flexibility foresight' here, saying they can work from home on that day off to hound the hell out of us all. Bonuses all around
Hopefully AI will get rid of these people, & soon .

Therese Coffey mp (ex DWP minister) comment " ..cherish our nation's turnips".
After Ms Coffey's comments I've been thinking. Maybe the UK could become the world leader in Turnip production to ease the economy....
Maybe Ms Coffey could become the 'Turnip Tsar Therese".
Maybe her catchphrase could be "Stand and Deliver, the Turnips" . While dressed up as Highway man Dick Turpin..
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dick_Turpin
But what about 'Burns Night Supper'(25/jan). Could there be a national shortage of 'Neeps' (Turnips), for the haggis, neeps, and tatties feast.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burns_supper
Or as the ex DWP minister, how about instead of 'Go to work on an Egg". You could have 'Turn up on a Turnip"...🤨
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go_to_work_on_an_egg
And finally before the tablet's start to work... You could alter the muscial tune of " Tulips from Amsterdam" .
With 'Turnips from Amersham'.

Well that enough from me

I read Sir Starmer, is now jumping on the Turnip Wagon? 🤨
