More DWP whip cracking on the way
Come January 2023 in work benefit claimants will have to be working for 15 hours per week, up from the current 12 hours. The over 50's are going to be the target of as yet unspecified measures to return them to work.

More details to be provided in tomorrow's fiscal event or whatever they are calling it now.
I foresee the over 50's thing being heavy on transferable skills, changing your mindset about your employability, health issues etc.

Two points here #Ingatius...
Employers attitudes need to change then to the over 50's ... How will they do this legislation/ box ticking, must employ x amount of golden oldies...
Seems with a aging population in the UK, the 50+ are going to fill the gap. Left from Brexit labour shortage..

The only coverage of this I've seen today is that the 50+ jobseeker is apparently going to get enhanced Work Coach attention. Sure it will be a roaring success.
