What can I say about this article?    And there was me thinking it was the radicalization of young people.  No it is “epidemic of family breakdown is fuelling terrorism”. So all of these people from good family homes fighting in Syria is propaganda then! Single parents get it in the neck as usual. That does not explain those, as you rightly point out, from stable families who go to Syria. Some of them give up places on excellent uni' courses. Radicalisation takes place on uni' campuses as well as on the internet, and needs to be tackled.

My understanding was that what you describe was actually the original meaning of terrorism.

The meaning has become transmuted to now mean acts perpetrated by non government agencies.
