Five grassroots groups of disabled people have asked psychiatrists to explain why they have not spoken out publicly about a scheme that allows work coaches to refer universal credit (UC) claimants for mental health treatment.

Very very good question, and I will say I have come across others in the medical arena who are also slow to come forward with supportive evidence. Maybe, they have a particular jobsworth view.

Could be as mentioned they are reluctant to make a stand because of their political beliefs, although should not be at the front of their "mind. "
