RANT; Don't you just hate iy when...

My work coach found a vacancy that could have interested me: IT Tech Support.

Great! I'm looking forward to going back to IT.

He called the employer and gave them my phone number.

They rang me yesterday asking me to come today for an interview. I said: can you give me some more detail about the vacancy?

The employer was very vague, "Just come along and we'll chat about it". I don't really want to chat. I want facts and details.

So I asked: can you please send me a complete job spec by email? Sure, they said.

At 8am this morning I get the job spec. The vacancy is not IT Tech Support but admin clerk with data inputting skills.

WTF? Seriuosly?

Good job I insisted on having a full job spec!

End of rant.

It was a bit the naff that the work coach rang on your behalf (unless you wanted them to). Good that the employer rang you back though.

The WC must be a nitwit to think data input is even similar to tech support.
