This briefing presents the key findings for the Universal Credit (UC) sample
of the Welfare Conditionality project. These findings draw directly on the experiences of 46 UC recipients (from an original sample of 58) who took part in at least two of the three waves of repeat interviews, undertaken between 2014 and 2017. The sample includes in-work and out-of-work recipients. These interviews were conducted alongside additional interviews and focus groups with policy stakeholders and practitioners.
