Just looking for an update please.
So I have been away from claiming JSA for about 2.5 years now. Initially claiming ESA and then lately, I was lucky enough to get a good temp' job. The job has been great but it is now coming to an end (I can see it lasting 2 more weeks).
It is very likely I will be down the joke centre in a while.
Is there anything I need to look out for?
Do they still want to see 2 payslips and some proof of ID?
What sort of ID? anything changed?
Sorry if I am reinventing the wheel here.
Just wanted a rough guide to any new pitfalls that there may now be.

Re: Just looking for an update please.
I think the only change is you have to make a claim online first but thats not true either as a claim can be made another way instead of online only

Hi Caker
Current guidance:
https://www.gov.uk/jobseekers-allowance/how-to-claim
https://www.gov.uk/jobseekers-allowance/your-jsa-interview
You may need to declare a health condition, which might attract a referral to the Health and Work programme at some stage. On balance, it is normally advisable to declare your circumstances to achieve a more relaxed JSA/UC Claimant Commitment.
I hope your get more work soon!

Re: Just looking for an update please.
Thanks ND.
The waiting lists have become so low at my workplace (due to me being brought in, as an extra pair of hands, to tackle them) that permanent staff are now sitting there with little to do.
I think that my recent experience will help me into another job soon.
I will keep everyone posted.
