ESA to JSA or UC

i have a f2f ESA assessment tomorrow, would i be right in thinking if i fail and put in a mandatory reconsideration letter i will automatically be put onto JSA? or will i have to claim UC?

As far as I know, you will only be able to claim JSA if you are not personally eligible for UC or if you are not in a UC area, or you are in an area where UC is currently suspended.

You can't get Universal Credit at the moment, so i guess it will be JSA then

however on an esa assessment

have you asked for it to be recorded at your interview

if you have and they dont have the equipment there they will have to cancel themselves this happened to me 3 times so if your lucky and its a medical exam you can prolong the esa claim for a while after 3 i presume your going to have to except an examination and then go through the appeal

it might be earlier all depends if they accept your request or not.

If you actually went to the appointment, I hope you got your travel expenses. Not your fault they cancelled.

Appointment was today at 11:40 they phoned at 11 to pushed my appointment back till 1:15

Stressful, really doing my head in now

not sure, the woman seemed nice but, a wolf in sheep's clothing springs to mind

you wont know until its refused and you apeal it then you will see whats been put on the paperwork

caught one lieing on distances even with there own comments its not whats been quoted on paperwork

i'll ring them up tomorrow and ask for a copy of the ESA85 and see what was written.

I'm hoping its accurate as she was an ex colorectal nurse and seemed very sympathetic towards my Crohns Disease diagnosis.

who do i ring to request a copy esa85? DWP or the people at the WCA assessment centre?

It's the DWP as far as I know, but they won't send out a copy until a decision has been made.

Last time I rang them 2-3 days after I had a WCA and they sent out a copy before I had a decision of the DWP, has this changed in the last 12-18 months?

If you type "copy of ESA85" into Google there's an FOI that says that a copy won't be sent until a decision has been made. Maybe it's changed since you last got one or it could be they are simply being nice sending it out sooner following all the FOIs they got . All you can do is ring them and see what happens
