Re: DWP Horror Stories
Yes, their a very kind bunch of people.
What the Dr describes about the person's comments from DWP’s is just typical.
As long as we have a Tory government. The jobsworth uncaring ideologies will remain. They really feel they have suitably skilled enough people in basic administration positions feel they know better than someone who's previously done 7 years hard slog as a medical student.
System is not fit for purpose as anyone been trapped in it for years would agree...I would hope
"People who aren't allowed to return to their jobs post pandemic ,would quit their job...rather than work from home. ".
An indication, in line with the lunacy of DWP's thought process in that link.

Re: DWP Horror Stories
After I heard that the DWP was conducting telephone assessments. I was wondering what is next, 'telephone healing', a telephone Reiki session with the patient?

Heard that's already happening too Pintel. And if ever claimants needed to get a decent recording app on phone...this is the time.
I see roach shop and wca people having a field day with this new method.

Re: DWP Horror Stories
So much for "Be tailored for each claimant"🤨.
These assessors must be using a script. I wonder if anyone whom has had this assessment, transcribed this conversation. So others can know what will be asked🤫.

Re: DWP Horror Stories
.......a friend of a friend recently (start of first lockdown) started a job with a company providing job search ‘help’ to claimants. S/he was doing this via zoom. S/he has been made redundant just a year into the role.
I think DWP acknowledges that the labour market is saturated.

Re: DWP Horror Stories
Yes Caker, think DWP know the situation but, won't stop their lunatic ideas of WHP etc.
I think a lot of companies will have grabbed a ton of cash with the covid-19 help for business without would have gone bankrupt for sure.
Unfortunately providers have been propped up. But where their going to fail miserably...just like before is, getting people into work. This time though, will be 10 times harder if impossible, and expect, to see these with some recruitment agencies go under. Here's hoping

Re: DWP Horror Stories
They apparently have many more on route to roach shop and currently being 'trained' up. Others like your friend, employed by a provider company.
What roach shop don't get is. No matter the skill level of new roaches or ,career advisor. Effectively, end result will always be the same for many.
The actual job market is screwed, has been for years and will now, be on another level.
Just wait until automation really kicks in. I can hear government now....urghhh! "we may, have to introduce a Universal basic income ".You think!
