Atos pays out for negligent PIP assessment after visit from debt enforcement officers
By John Pring on 4th March 2021
A court has forced a discredited government contractor to pay £2,500 compensation to a disabled woman, after a negligent disability benefit assessment left her in debt and experiencing significant mental distress.

Good for her. If these companies keep this game up they will be sent under. A firm warning that they are not outside the law. They just need a polite reminder. With the great unemployment que now growing daily. Roach ville should be more mindful of who they choose to pick on. Coming to a town near you soon.
It's this "a negligent disability benefit assessment" they need to be careful with.

You can also take an individual to court. People in "authority" rely on hiding behind their employer but are often personally liable, particularly under the Equality Act 2010. This applies to DWP workers and their sub-contractors.

Yes, Nice one Absolut. And dont forget this little gem.I suggest certain people and companies take note, they know who they are .
Human rights act Article 5: Right to liberty and security
This is a limited right. Person has a right, to move around as they want and not, be locked in a room or building. This right can sometimes be limited by the law. Example: if a person is arrested or detained on mental health grounds.
If you are not free to leave, and you are under continuous control and supervision, then you are likely deprived of your liberty (i.e. your right to liberty has been limited).
Last time i was made to attend a uninformative roach shop session, it was within a room that was locked . All very understanding of them when knowing some within that room were currently suffering with anxiety disorders.
