About time.

Leighday.co.uk wrote:“Today's announcement that the procedures have changed is news to us and news to our client. Whilst we cautiously welcome the announcement, it is imperative that the Secretary of State publishes the relevant guidance immediately so that our client and the public can see whether it actually requires decision makers to liaise with different agencies in cases like Errol's and whether enough has been done to ensure that the vulnerable are adequately protected.”

DWP has failed to adhere to its current procedures.  Hoping things improve very soon.

Existing policies
What are the procedures DWP staff must follow after failed "Safeguarding Visits"?

The role of 'Vulnerable Customer Champion' as I have been told it is called by the 'HEO VCC' assigned to my case in December 2018 or also known as 'Vulnerable Claimant Champion' or 'Mental Health Champion' is a role within the Department for Work & Pensions. Here is also an article also showing they exist https://www.disabilitynewsservice.com/dwp-waited-18-months-to-take-safety-action-on-vulnerable-claimant/

Spotlight on: Safeguarding and reflecting
DWP has a duty to protect vulnerable people and you should be alert to possible signs of harm and abuse.
