A praiseworthy initiative.

Still, however, one would puzzle why make these houses only as temporary accommodations.
The specifics of the project, that is a good thing, left aside for a moment, should make one consider what in other part of the world have already been successfully experimented: namely build cheap but habitable houses and give them to them.

In the long run is much cheaper than try and house the homeless in the chaotic and private-property biased market and at the same time remove much of the uncertainty and long term worries that make homelessness such a psychologically debilitating condition.

A rent free secure accommodation where they can mend their lives and leave to some other unfortunate if their fortunes improves and have then the means and the desire to move somewhere else.
