DWP wrote:It is not a mandatory requirement for the claimant to provide the required work search
evidence via their journal. The claimant must be able to provide written evidence of
their work search.

It is not mandatory for the claimant to upload their CV onto the journal, the claimant
must however be able to show a completed and up to date CV.

If you have any queries about this letter please contact me quoting the reference
number above.

Do you think DWP will consider a CV without certain contact details, to be a completed CV?

When I was forced by way of a Jobseeker's Direction to show my CV to my work coach I redacted all the private information that is protected by the Data Protection Act. So the only contact info I left on was my home address. I also removed employer details and qualifications. He wasn't best pleased but didn't refer me for a doubt. I'm pretty sure that under UC they will insist that you show them a complete CV irrespective of whether it's a legal requirement or not.

During the course of every intervention at the Jobcentre you will be sharing information about your past and current circumstances and this will be recorded on the DWP computer, so the JC adviser will know as much as you have revealed regarding your work history, experience etc..

You only have to provide your address to show you are available for work.  Provide a CV with the info DWP holds.  If asked, you can say you share your email and/or your telephone number to employers when appropriate to do so.

Which is exactly what I did and he then suggested that I was sending the redacted CV to the employers, i.e. without any contact details other than my home address and without employer details and qualifications! This despite the fact I'd told him I had redacted the info solely for the purposes of showing it to him. Daft c**t! Mad Laughing

They must read off a script as I got the same reaction, i.e they look for anything at all to undermine the claim and get a sanction going.

Perhaps it might work better to include fields for email and phone number on your CV, but state it's not included because it's not being sent to an employer?

Phone: To be included when sent to an employer
