elderly social care begging to collapse

This is one of the reasons I am standing for election to my local council. Social care has been neglected by successive right-wing governments for decades. Passing the buck onto private service providers was never going to help because they have to try to make a profit on a dwindling income; government won’t pay and poor families can’t. Result: Care workers on the minimum wage who couldn’t care less – and are quitting the English system. I want to prevent the same thing from happening here in Wales. Is this the kind of service we think we owe the people who raised us? wrote:
