Let’s say this loud and clear: Universal Credit advance payments are LOANS. They must be repaid (you can read full details of the Universal Credit advance payment system on the CAB site). They’re not much-needed extras. They’re advances on people’s Universal Credit money and must be repaid out of people’s benefits.

my opinion is why should i get a personal loan for there f up its there fault payments are well behind and the 6 months wait is a joke for a payment of universal credit
there mess they should pay for it much earlier than whats been stated the old system was a month behind for landlords but a 6 week or longer is a joke for a system like that
as kate quite rightly describes its a loan that makes you further into debt its no fun trying to get around your debt problems
