tories unprecedented attempt to rig parliament itself

Theresa May is set to give “unprecedented” powers to her minority government. If she’s successful, her move will give Conservative MPs even more control over legislation, effectively overruling the result of the general election. And it shows an utter contempt for democracy.

Shadow Brexit Secretary and QC Keir Starmer just took apart the government’s Repeal Bill in parliament. On 7 September, Starmer called the government’s Brexit plans an “extraordinary power grab”. last night was the second reading

https://www.thecanary.co/2017/09/12/much-britain-slept-last-night-theresa-may-carried-silent-coup/

even some of labours camp joined the tories power grab

But a handful of Labour MPs defied the whip to support the Conservatives; Frank Field, Ronnie Campbell, Kate Hoey, Kelvin Hopkins, John Mann, Dennis Skinner and Graham Stringer voted in favour of the bill. And Caroline Flint and 13 others abstained.

though on edit dosnt mean any other party supporters would get there say or there bills past other than the main party thats within power
