Re: Missing Brutus!
Not seen our way since May 24th; and no new updates on his Blog or You-Tube Channel for some time.
But know he is involved with quite a few other things as well.

Re: Missing Brutus!
Thanks guys, I missed you too.
I was having a little bout of depression but I hope I am now OK.
I will try and rejoin; you're great people and while it is true have been involved with various things I should not have let so much time pass without popping in.
I am touched.

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more;
Or close the wall up with our English dead.
In peace there's nothing so becomes a man
As modest stillness and humility;
Still glad to hear your still around Brutus

Re: Missing Brutus!
I apologize to everybody for my nearly six months long absence and also thank you all for the concern.
My gratitude to "Not Deficiere" is particularly felt.
I am glad to find the forum in tip top conditions and Gadily/Admin (plus his daughter) and Caker fully deserve credit.
As for myself, I, at last, managed to retire while still on JSA and in spite that my benefit area was one of the first "fully digital" ones in the Country. However mostly thanks to this and similar forums and the dedication of so many people, I successfully avoided any sanction throughout my unemployment years.
As a matter of fact, my last months were quite easy going, with my "work coach" all but agreeing with me on the absurdity of my situation and sheltering me from the fate of many coetaneous claimants that did suffer harassment to the very last days in the same jobcentre.
It shows that, with a little luck thrown in, to be aware of one's rights helps considerably.
Ageing, however, is also a damned business and I have developed some health issues but they have not been too debilitating so far.
Mostly my time has been taken with transforming my (albeit diminishing...) long term outlook and following the disheartening politics of the moment. In addition, local issues and friends in need have taken up much of my energies and time.
I plan not to disappear forever but rather concentrate on UBI and political topics.
I cannot promise regularity, as I have lots of things on my plate at the moment but I will try and be a presence once again.
The fight of the unemployed, the downtrodden and everyone that suffer social injustice is the fight of everyone that wants to push forward the civilising process and it is part of the best humanity efforts to resist the reactionary social undertows and join the progressive, rational and tolerant philosophies that will save the world.
We live in a critical historical epoch, much more so that previous ones.
Each generation has had its unique challenges, its belief to be facing world-crucial problems and we are certainly luckier than those that in the past (and alas, the present) have had to face wars, invasions, famines or violent repression.
What we, however, are challenged with is an increasingly vapid humanity led by uninspired elites with the power to seriously damage the world and inflict on themselves and the rest of nature substantial injury; more so than at any other time in history.
So regardless of the modest contribution one can provide, here to protect universal rights, there to uphold the values of social fairness and decency, hither and thither to oppose irrational beliefs and ignorance or just resent everyday small injustices and discriminations, we all pushing forward a better future.
We just need to persist, to be the better angels of our nature.
This forum is part of it all and we all should take pride in having participated.
