When me and my partner were on JSA we got £114.85 each week as we were in a joint claim. We live with my partners family (parent + siblings), so we are the ones to buy food for the whole house.

£50 on food for everyone. Nothing fancy, just a bunch of pasta/potatoes/chips with different kind of meat.
£15 on lunches/hygiene for me and my partner
£15 saved for emergencies
£35 for hobbies

We don't pay for any TV, games, music or films as we download/stream our entertainment for free. Broadband is paid for by the other adult living with us.

Maybe we didn't contribute as much money we should to the house, but we help with a lot of things. Like cooking, cleaning and school runs. Everyone is happy. Time's rougher in the winter for everyone with electrics and heating, so then we help out a little bit more with money each week.

Admin why do you say "no council tax to pay"? As far as I know everyone, no matter what their circumstances, has to pay something towards the council tax. I have to pay around £30 per month over 12 months.
