I'm not sure I understand ED. What's stopping you going into yahoo and manually typing the address in? scratch

Dude - when clicking on an email link online it will automatically attempt to open a mail program on the PC that you are using, such as Outlook or Thunderbird. As the computer you are using has no email program configured you will get the Outlook "setup" starting. You need to copy the email address and go into an online email account and send it from there. Hope that helps.

Yes that seems to be the trouble Absolut. Well I eventually got a reply from the DWP:

"Thank you for your email. We need some further details in order to identify your customer records. Could you please reply stating your full name and postal address, including post code?

Due to vast amount of emails we receive, please also include your original email."

The trouble is due to needing the letter quickly, I wasted 1/2hr on the phone to there call-centre Crying or Very sad . And finally got a letter sent to me. An email would of been cheaper and easier for me. Still I no for next time hey, and thanks for the reply everyone Smile .

One point before I forget while on the DWP call centre. There was recorded message that said " if you are claiming Universal Credit, you need to contact them via your account ". As there was no options for anyone claiming U-Credit on Existing Benefit Claims – 0345 608 8545

However, if found this:

EXISTING CLAIMS DEPARTMENT CONTACT NUMBER TEXTPHONE NUMBER

  • Jobseekers Allowance, Incapacity Benefit and Employment & Support Allowance
                                                     0345 608 8545             0345 608 8551

    Universal Credit                           0345 600 0723          0345 600 0743

    Social Fund                                   0345 603 6967              0345 608 8553

    Maternity Allowance                    0345 608 8610     0345 608 8553

Glad you got the letter. They do make us all jump through increasingly difficult hoops, all of which breach the Equality Act.
